Pre-Assessments for 2025-2026

For all new FLAM (French-speaking) students, we require a pre-assessment.

Please check below the dates for onsite (Maternelle) pre-assessments and details.

Our goal is to evaluate the students’ French proficiency and place them in the best group. In the week following your pre-enrollment, you will receive an email scheduling an appointment for the pre-assessment.

Depending on the student’s age and level, pre-assessments will vary:

  • Petits Bouts (3.5 to 4.5)
  • Petits Apprentis (4 to 5)
  • Petits Ecoliers (5 to 6 or enrolled in Kindergarten)

To evaluate the French language proficiency of new students and determine their appropriate level program, they will be assessed in groups in different classrooms. The teachers will organize playtime activities, which will serve as an opportunity to assess the students’ comprehension and expression in French, and coordinate with each other in the process.
